One of those things you read about a million times in what feels like thousands of situations, yet none of them answer your one question.
S2!Kurt auditioning for a solo in the Warblers’ next competition. (I think it was Regionals, idk).
When they shoot him down, I believe it is mentioned that it was because the song he chose wasn’t able to be converted neatly into a cappella without sounding all funky. (or maybe it’s just the fan theory, all my info’s from fanfiction).
But the entire time someone is detailing the hows and whys of that response, I keep thinking, “So, wait, he was auditioning the song, not himself? Or was he auditioning himself, but with that song? If the song’s the problem (because it wasn’t him, that’s for sure), then take him on but change the song he’s singing. Aren’t you supposed to vote on which song, anyway?”
And for God’s sake, don’t have the two people mutually crushing on each other rather obviously sing a song about break ups. Neither of them will pull it off because they’ll be too happy singing with the other to really care that it’s a competition.
I thought Wevid+Thad were supposed to be smarticles, but I guess not.
